The Asset Alliance Group Scottish Rally Championship heads to the south of Scotland for round six of the 2025 season and celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally.
Topping the SRC crews once again are Dumfries pair David Bogie and Kirsty Riddick who come into this round on a hot streak of two wins in a row. With maximum scores on all three rounds entered so far, a top five SRC finish on the Hills would guarantee David a record-extending seventh title. The co-driver’s championship is less clear cut and will not be decided until the final round in December.

Multiple winner Jock Armstrong lines up just behind the Skoda in his own Fabia, this one featuring Subaru power, and is also celebrating 25 years of sponsoring the event. Always quick in these forests, Jock and co-driver Owen Paterson will be looking to bounce back after their Scottish retirement.

Another former hills winner, Mark McCulloch and co-driver Michael Hendry have had an excellent year in their Evo powered Proton. They’ll be looking for another strong performance before they turn their attention to their Roger Albert Clark campaign.

Argyll winner Rory Young makes his first gravel start of the year in his Skoda Fabia, reunited with regular partner Allan Cathers. The Skoda sits just in front of the Fiesta ranks, Stephen Petch & Michael Wilkinson, Ian Forgan and Chris Lees and John Crawford and Josh Davison all Ford crews worth watching.
Bob Adamson is the sole VW representative, looking to carry on his excellent run of form this year, joined by the very experienced and successful Nikki Addison fresh from her success guiding Meghan O’Kane to third British Junior at Ceredigion.
Local man Angus Lawrie teams up with former SRC Champion Jane Nicol and tops the conventional 4wd cars in his Mitsubishi, affectionately known as “Eddie”, seeded just ahead of a big Class M6 battle. Duncan Campbell and Michael Cruickshank’s Impreza squares off with the Evos of Martyn Erskine and Peter Carstairs and Brett McKenzie and Barry Young.
Paddy Munro and Andrew Stevenson top the G&M Mechanical Services 2wds seeding. The Mk2 crew are on a great run, looking for their third category win on the bounce. They’ll face stiff opposition from their G&M run teammates Andrew Forbes and Alex Hill and the rapid Mk2 of Scott Peacock and Craig Wallace. Niall Cowan Jnr and Gail Whyte will also be one to watch in their 1600cc MG ZR, and there is a rapid contingent of Irish Escort crews making the trip across the water to join in the fun.

Jack Ryan and Robin Nicolson top the Groundwater Lift Trucks Subaru Cup entries looking for a fourth win of the season in their GC8 Impreza. Mike Grant and Graham Kelman will be their big competition, as they seek a smoother weekend after a difficult season so far.

Natalie Robinson tops both the Lady drivers and the Moates Offshore Juniors seeds. Natalie looking for her 2nd Junior win of the year. She’ll face stiff opposition from the army of MG3 pilots: Robbie Wood, Rian Walker, Thomas Milne and Lauchlan Hunter all rapid young chargers in Challenge spec cars.
Natalie will also have the Ladies battle to consider, squaring off against her own Mum Christina, fresh from a win at the Grampian. Both are in identical Peugeot 208s so it should be a good battle.

The Haddo Energy Super Seniors will be a private MK2 battle between Steve Bannister and Callum Atkinson and John Rintoul and Ross Hynd. Steve & Callum have been the crew to beat on the gravel so far this year while John & Ross have got quicker and quicker with each round as they adapt to MK2 power after years of 4wd motoring.

Six stages make up the event, based for the first time out of Dalmellington. Keep an eye out on the SRC Facebook and YouTube channels for live coverage and updates throughout the day.
