Meghan told us how much she had enjoyed the event, saying: “I’ve had the best weekend with the team, and with Nikki alongside doing a top job on the notes!

“Huge thanks to John and Jimmy for servicing for us, and to Scott for getting the car ready – it was brilliant all weekend after it’s winter stay at G&M Mechanical Services Rally preparation. Can’t wait to get back onto gravel now for Round 2!”

The Ignition Motorsport Rally Team commented: “Just a couple of months ago, we had a dream which came a reality at the East Riding Stages Rally.

“A monumental effort by the entire team in the weeks and months leading up to Round 1 – just making it to the start line was a huge battle – but the team’s dedication, perseverance and love for the sport was rewarded with the perfect start to the British Rally Championships season!

“All three point-scoring cars finishing the event in 1st, 2nd and 3rd BRC4, and a special shoutout to Meghan O’Kane and Nikki Addison for their stunning class victory of over 4 minutes.

“Michael Jenkins and Jordan Jones finished the event in second on Jenkins Rallying’s first ever tarmac event, running the car in gravel trim, and Colin Minton and Robert Bryn Jones finished third after battling with two cylinders from SS1.

“A fantastic event to kick off our campaign, a big thank you to Beverley & District Motor Club, all the marshals, organisers, recovery crews, media and spectators for their dedication and commitment come rain or shine!”
