An exciting Scottish Rally Championship season draws to a close in the Lake District this weekend and nowhere is the battle likely to be hotter than in the MG3 Challenge.
Robbie Wood and Rian Walker have enjoyed a terrific contest throughout the season and one will be crowned champion of the Autoshop.co.uk MG3 Rally Challenge tomorrow afternoon in Coniston. Wood’s navigator Steven Brown also goes head-to-head with Walker’s wingman for the Co-Drivers Championship, alongside reigning champion Antony Coates.
Mark Constantine and Coates, and Niall Cowan Snr and Andrew Millington will keep the pressure on and there will be new MG3 contenders taking on the final 40 miles of gravel action over six stages, with Meghan O’Kane escaping her ice-cream shop for the weekend and swapping her driver’s seat for the navigator’s alongside Alan Scott, while young Finnish talent Flame Airikkala is joined by experienced Borders co-driver Carin Tait-Logan in a strong all-female crew.
